Everyone deserves a special reward when they have been working hard the whole year. So Shane and Jan O’Brien organised a special treat for their hard working team by taking them to the Healesville races, have dinner and play golf.

Healesville races here we go… again!
Three years ago, O’Brien sponsored one of the many Healesville races. Everyone enjoyed so much that we decided to do it a few more times.

Healesville 2015 Christmas celebration with the O’Brien staff
12 December 2015 – the staff of O’Brien went back to Healesville for their third racecourse at the club. It was lunchtime when they arrived and everyone was in high spirit to watch the race.
Below are the names of the horses together with their jockeys who joined the O’Brien Customs and Forwarding Trophy Handicap1650 metres horse race.

It was another exciting race. You could hear the crowd cheer as the horses raced to the finish line.

“We have been doing this three years in a row,” Shane said. “It’s our way of getting involved and helping the local community while having fun with the team. Also, we really like the Healesville area and have always enjoyed coming here.”
Dinner and golf time with the staff
After the Healesville races, the staff had dinner at Healesville RACV Club and stayed there for the night.
